Job Title: Housing Led Support Worker

Reports to: Residential Services Manager

Salary: £24,012 per annum FTE

Place of Work: Hicks House - Chichester

Hours: Flexible – not fixed to Monday-Friday – core hours to be agreed – 37hrs a week

There is an exciting opportunity to work within an innovative new model to help the most vulnerable in our community. Rather than follow normal housing routes of hostels to supported housing to independent accommodation, this service offers clients who have been rough sleeping, a temporary studio flat and intensive support needed to build their skills and lead functional lives.

Within this role, you will be working as a senior support worker, working within the good practice of Housing First principles, and as part of the Chichester Hostel team. You will be directly supporting 6 complex needs clients but case supervising 12 clients within the new service. As part of the Chichester Hostel team, you will be supporting the most excluded clients where traditional service delivery has failed to engage and meet their needs.

It is essential that you will have a non-judgmental and enabling approach to supporting single homeless and vulnerable adults and have experience and knowledge of health, housing and work issues facing clients who have multiple complex needs.
