To manage a collaborative Care team to provide a high standard of care to children and young people with a vision impairment.  To foster a positive environment for the delivery of the waking day curriculum and to ensure high quality documentation within Care.  To supervise and support staff to work with students in a proficient and sensitive manner that will enhance both their academic and social development.

To work flexibly across the site and the residential houses to manage the delivery of a comprehensive care programme appropriate to the individual students.  To safeguard and promote the health and welfare of the students, ensuring that they are cared for and supported in the residential house, by a team of professional Care staff, following the guidelines as laid down by legislation, the current National Minimum Care Standards for Residential Special Schools, professional care practice and NCW’s policies and procedures.
