A large organisation in the Farnham area requires an Accounts Assistant to support the accounts team, and progress their finance career further. If you have just started out in your accounting career and have either a degree in accounts, perhaps AAT Foundation or just a little experience then this role might be just what you are seeking to get you on the road to a full blown career. You'll get loads of exposure to multi company and group accounts, with a large organisation of T/O £100+M.

What will the Accounts Assistant be doing?

  • Answering e-mails and telephone calls relating to supplier queries
  • Uploading invoice documents
  • Inputting purchase invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Checking authorisation for payment of supplier invoices, checking delivery notes and raising payments
  • Raising monthly sales invoice & customer statements
  • Liaising with buyers over queries
  • Assisting the accounts team with processing

What does the Accounts Assistant need?

  • DRIVER with car as remote location - no public transport
  • GCSE Maths and English
  • Numerate and logical
  • Previous office experience
  • Ideally AAT Foundation or Degree Finance (or equivalent) or some accounts experience
  • Ideally someone with knowledge of Accounting software e.g. Sage Coins etc
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to want to learn and progress skills
