If you live and breath complex VAT consultancy work, this is a part-time opportunity where you can get your teeth into complex assignments and diverse client portfolio. On top of this, you'll be working in a highly flexible and agile mid-tier firm in the City of London. Ideally this will be around 4 days a week mark, though this is open to discussion.

Working in a small team alongside an enthusiastic and highly experienced senior VAT figure, you'll be soaking up knowledge, collaborating on complex assignments, and offering input in the direction of the VAT consultancy team. Progression and development is there for the taking!

About the firm

In a newly structured indirect tax team, you'll be joining a mid tier firm that's thriving under the old and new direction of its long-standing leadership team and the fresh growth plans bought in by recent senior hires.

Perhaps the most admirable aspect of this firm is that "big enough to compete with the larger firms but small enough to care" (quoted from my meeting with the Senior Manager)... Unlike some of the larger firms where you're easily lost in the hubbub of corporate structures, this is a firm where partners really take the time to know their staff. Things are noticed here and there are no closed doors.

About You & The Role

• You'll have strong private sector experience and ideally good knowledge of complex VAT issues (ie. partial exemption, disputes and appeals, supply chain issues etc.)
• Either a VAT generalist or VAT specialist. Whatever your skill set, it'll be fully utilised!
• A self-starter who can manage their own workload and take ownership of certain functions
• You'll be working with an array of different sectors but also be have the backing to carve your own niche. Key divisions in this firm include not-for-profit, property, and FS.
• You'll be responsible for overseeing some junior colleagues
